The bima stands in the middle of the room and is surrounded by four pillars that support the vault . This style of the so-called Neun-Felder-Synagoge first appeared at the beginning of the 17th century in the Great Maharscha Synagogue in Ostroh and the Great Suburban Synagogue in Lviv .

Most of the wall paintings have been preserved, but are also in need of renovation.
