The synagogue in Grötzingen , a district of Karlsruhe in the north of Baden-Württemberg , was built in 1799 and rebuilt in 1898/99. The synagogue at Synagogenstrasse 15 (today Krumme Strasse) was destroyed in the November pogrom in 1938 .

history

After the National Socialist seizure of power in 1934 Synagogenstrasse was renamed Krumme Strasse . The synagogue was destroyed during the November pogroms in 1938 and demolished in early 1939.

Commemoration

Since 1983 a memorial stele on the synagogue site has been commemorating the fate of the Jewish community in Grötzingen.
