Synchronistic king list

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The synchronistic king list is a neo-Assyrian compilation that was found in Aššur (A. 117). It is now in the Istanbul Archaeological Museum . This list of kings is the most important source for the chronology of the Central Babylonian and Central Assyrian periods .

For the Kassitic period , the specified synchronisms are strongly doubted and are partially demonstrably wrong. The Kassite kings and the rulers of the Meerland dynasty were apparently mechanically arranged one after the other, even when rulers overlapped.
