Syniwka ( Ukrainian Синівка ; Russian Синевка Sinewka ) is a village in the south of the Ukrainian Sumy Oblast with about 1500 inhabitants (2004).

The village, first mentioned in 1669, is the center of the district council of the same name, to which the village of Dowschyk ( Довжик ) with about 70 inhabitants belongs.

geography

Synivka is located in Lypowa Dolyna district near the border with Poltava Oblast on the bank of the Hrun ( Грунь ), an 85 km long tributary of the Psel . The T-19-13 territorial road runs through the village . Lypowa Dolyna district center is 24 km to the west and Sumy oblast center is 82 km northeast of the village.
