The Tønnesenbreen is a glacier in Queen Maud Land in East Antarctica . It flows between the Hochlinfjellet and the Ruhnkeberg and thereby separates the Gjelsvikfjella from the Mühlig-Hofmann Mountains .
Norwegian cartographers, who also named it, mapped it on the basis of measurements and aerial photographs of the Third Norwegian Antarctic Expedition (1956–1960). It is named after Jarl Tønnesen (* 1919), who worked as a meteorologist on this research trip from 1956 to 1958 .
