The Tülay Başaran Anadolu Lisesi ( German Anatolian High School Tülay Başaran ) is an Anatolian high school in Samsun . It is located in the Kale borough. The school was named after Tülay Başaran. The school has about 500 students and 42 teachers. Among other things, a German theater group and a scout group are offered. There are project lessons in music, social sciences, theater, culture and language, multilingualism and folklore / dance. The Tülay Başaran Anadolu Lisesi is one of 20 PASCH schools in Turkey. Namesake
Tülay Başaran was born in Istanbul on May 8, 1961 . In Samsun, she attended Istiklal Primary School, graduated from Namik Kemal High School and then studied economics, industry and engineering at Gazi University in Ankara. She graduated in 1982.
After Tülay Başaran died in an accident, her parents campaigned for the construction of Tülay Başaran Anadolu Lisesi and had the high school built in 1996 with the help of fellow citizens and government support.
