history
The bank, which was officially founded in August 1888, took over the funds created in the Ottoman Empire since 1863 , which were based on an initiative of Midhat Pascha in Pirot , issued more affordable loans than usual, and the majority of the profits were given to the community. Ankara has been the seat of the bank since April 1920 . On November 25, 2000, the company was converted into a public limited company organized under Turkish law .
