Teuto Airways Germany AG (abbreviation: TAG) was a German airline operating under this name from the end of 1997 to 2000 , which was based in Büren - Ahden at Paderborn / Lippstadt Airport .

history

Teuto Airways Germany AG was a spin-off of the helicopter company Teuto Air Lufttransporte GmbH and was active in the air freight business. The company's main customer was the computer company Siemens Nixdorf , which operated nightly air freight flights to London - Luton .

Initially, a rented Let L-410 was used for a few months , and from March 1998 a Short 330 -200 with a cargo capacity of 2.6 tons. In the summer of 1999 Teuto Airways Germany AG signed a cooperation agreement with the English freight company Channel Express . From the end of 1999, Teuto Airways Germany AG used a Fairchild SA-227AC Metro III from the German regional airline OLT for its nightly cargo flights to England , which operated the daytime passenger route from Paderborn / Lippstadt Airport to Berlin with this machine .

On March 10, 2000, Teuto Airways Germany AG took over these scheduled flights from OLT and thus entered the regular passenger service. The company traded under the new name TAG City Air AG , from autumn 2001 then as City-air Germany AG .
