The TG21 plc (until 2005: Toad Group plc ) is a UK public company with several subsidiaries and equity interests mainly in the business vehicle electronics for cars and motorcycles operates. In 2009 the company changed its name to 21st Century Technology .

The product and service portfolio includes electronic anti-theft devices , immobilizers , video surveillance systems in public transport, hands-free equipment for mobile phones, navigation systems , audio and multimedia equipment, and - in cooperation with insurance companies - the replacement of stolen devices. The activities of tg21 are divided into the operational areas of service (installation, maintenance, fleet service) and sales.

The company employs around 220 people at its two locations in London and Runcorn . Annual sales at the end of 2005 were £ 36.3 million (approx. € 55 million). The company has been listed on the London Stock Exchange in the AIM since April 15, 2005 .

The company was founded in 1993 by Sir Christopher Thomas Evans OBE , founder of several British biotechnology companies and multiple "Cambridge Businessman of the Year". On September 20, 2006, he was arrested for being involved in the so-called “ cash-for-peerages affair”. The company's current chairman is Peter T. Ward and Nicholas Grimond is the CEO .

Metvale Ltd , which was bought on January 7th from Autoglass Ltd and which covers the insurance replacement services division at tg21, has its post office box in Tortola on the tax-favorable Virgin Islands and is the owner of the container ship MSC Napoli, which was damaged in January 2007 by Hurricane Kyrill in the English Channel (Manager of Ship is the British Zodiac Maritime Agencies Ltd.).

The vehicle insurance sales, Soundlinx and automotive consumer electronics sales divisions were sold in 2007.
