TNT Jackson
TNT Jackson is a 3-piece Electropunk , Electroclash band currently based in Vienna , Austria . For a long time, the members of the formation gave each other pseudonyms, but now only appear under the abbreviations T, N and T.
Band history
TNT Jackson met in 1999 at the Pleasure Strom Festival in Norwich . The band, which is named after the 70s Blacksploitation film of the same name, first received attention when they received massive airplay with the song Ratterbit on Austria's alternative radio station FM4 in 2004 - without a regular release. Countless live gigs and another radio single later, they finally signed their first record deal. Her first album Lovers was released in 2005 on the Fabrique Records sister label Stereoalpine . Guest voices on the album include Frenk Lebel (Play the tracks of), Gustav and Chris Corner ( Sneaker Pimps / IAMX ) on the track You and my pearldiver , John Norman ( Radian ) and Silber “Prinz” Otto are on bass and Hear the drums. In autumn 2007 the successor Across The Towers was released on Fabrique Records. The opening track 'Lamarr' pays homage to Hedy Lamarr , 'Pushit' is a reference to the similarly written hit by Salt'N'Pepa with Eddie Argos ( Art Brut ) on vocals and the closing number is a cover version of KC and the Sunshine Bands ' Please don't go '.
