The TSV Heiligenstedten is a sports club from Heiligenstedten in Steinburg . The first men's soccer team played for two years in the highest amateur league in Schleswig-Holstein .

history

The association was founded on June 20, 1913. In the 1950s and 1960s, footballers commuted between the 2nd amateur league and the district class. It was not until 1964 that the TSV was able to establish itself in the 2nd Amateur League West . In 1967 the team became champions, but failed in the promotion round at FC Holstein Segeberg . A year later, TSV qualified for the newly created Association League South and made it to the Schleswig-Holstein State League as champions . With only twelve points won, the direct relegation followed.

In 1981, the TSV also rose from the second highest division in the country, which is now known as the Landesliga Süd , before it went down to the district class in 1989 . At the beginning of the 1990s, things went up again. Two promotions in three years brought the TSV back to the national league. After further promotion and relegation, the team belonged from 1999 to the newly created regional upper league West , whose champions they became in 2002. With 102 goals conceded, the TSV had to relegate directly on the second trip to the Schleswig-Holstein Oberhaus.

When the district upper leagues were replaced by the new association league in 2008 , TSV missed qualification in 14th place and has been playing in the district league West since then .
