history

Veddeler TV 1888 was founded on January 21, 1888, which merged with SC Hermannia Veddel on January 11, 1939 to form Veddeler TSV Hermannia . Hermannia Veddel was founded on March 31, 1901 as FC Hansa Veddel , renamed itself to FC Hermannia Veddel in 1903 and to SC Hermannia Veddel in 1905. Between 1943 and 1945 the Veddeler TSV Hermannia formed a war game community with the SK Komet Hamburg . On August 16, 1945, members of the Veddel Free Gymnastics Association, which was banned as a workers' sports club in 1933, joined the Veddeler TSV Hermannia, which later took on the name TSV Veddel.

The footballers of the SC Hermannia Veddel reached the promotion round to Gauliga Nordmark in 1935 . Since four teams were tied, a decision-making round was scheduled, where Hermannia lost out to Phönix Lübeck . After the Second World War , TSV Veddel was grouped into the second-class 1st class Elbe , from which the team promptly relegated. After the direct resurgence, the march into the Hamburg amateur league followed . The TSV only stayed here for a year and had to relegate again in 1949. In 1962, the Veddeler were relegated from the Hansa Association League and disappeared at the district level.

On July 1, 1974, TSV Veddel merged with Viktoria Wilhelmsburg to form TSV Viktoria Wilhelmsburg-Veddel . In 2003 this association merged with Wilhelmsburger SV 93 and TV Jahn Wilhelmsburg to form SV Wilhelmsburg .
