TTC Ramsharde

The TTC Ramsharde is a table tennis club from the Nordstadt district of Flensburg . The women's team played in the Bundesliga, which was founded in 1972 .

founding

The association was founded on February 22, 1955 on the initiative of Horst Maack († 2000). The club's successes are based on intensive youth work. From 1977 to 1984 Ramsharde formed a syndicate with TSV Oeversee.

Women's team

The women's team rose in 1961 with the line-up of Gunda Bach, Ulrike Pätzold, Margrit Siebert , Rosemarie Otzen, Brigitte Kunert and Herta Theis in the upper league , the top German division at the time. In 1972 she was one of the clubs in the newly formed two-part Bundesliga . In the 1972/73 season they finished fifth, the following year second. In 1974 they became German Cup winners with the line-up Kirsten Krüger , Monika Kneip and Magrit Trupkovic . After that, many top players left the club for TSV Nord Harrislee . Since then, the women have been playing in the lower divisions.

Men's team

The men reached the league in 1966 with the players Hans-Jürgen Lunk, Jürgen Hennig, Dieter Jungnickel, Joachim Berg, Wolfgang Schmidt and Herbert Hennig . In 1980 they got down again. It was not until 1980 that he was promoted to the regional league. At the end of the season, the club voluntarily withdrew the team to the association league. In 1984/85 the men played again in the major league.

today

Today, TTC Ramsharde mainly does popular sports. In 2010 there are five men's teams, one women's team, one youth and one school team. The national league is the top division for women and men.
