Margrit Siebert

Margrit Siebert - later Margrit Trupkovic - (born August 27, 1944 ) is a former German table tennis player from the 1960s.

youth

Siebert played for the Kieler TTK club . In 1962 she became the German youth champion in singles and doubles.

Adults

National

In 1964 she moved to the club TTC Ramsharde , where she cut positive 29: 7 in the 1964/65 season in the upper pair cross.

At the National German Championships , she came in second place three times and reached the semi-finals seven times. She was German runner-up in 1965 in singles and in 1963 and 1966 in doubles with Uschi Isler . She played the semi-finals in singles in 1963, in doubles in 1965 (with Uschi Isler), 1968 (with Ingrid Bahnert ) and 1977 (with Jutta Trapp ) as well as in mixed 1963, 1964 (each with Dieter Michalek ) and 1974 (with Hans Micheiloff ).

In the DTTB ranking list from July 1965 Siebert was led in fifth place.

International

In April 1964 Siebert played her first international match in Groenlo. Against the Netherlands she managed a win with two defeats in a 5-4 win.

Because of her skill level she was nominated for the 1965 World Cup in Ljubljana. Here she prevailed in the individual qualification against Danica Nicolic (Yugoslavia), but then the Englishwoman Diane Rowe was too strong. The doubles with Agnes Simon lost 3-1 to the GDR players Gabriele Geißler / Doris Hovestädt . Also in mixed with Erich Arndt she was eliminated in the preliminary round against Janusz Kusinski / Danuta Szmit (Poland). In the team competition, the German team came in sixth.

In February 1966 she lost the 3-1 victory over Denmark in the singles Lies Ramberg, but won the doubles with Edit Buchholz .

Seniors

Margrit Trupkovic moved from TTC Ramsharde to SG GW / Nord Flensburg, from which the club TSV Nord Harrislee was formed in 1975. In the 1990s she played with TSB Flensburg in the 2nd Bundesliga.

At senior tournaments still achieved many successes. She became German Senior Champion in 1987, 1993, 1996 (age group U40), 1997, 1998 and 2002 (age group U50)

In 2006 she was honored with the silver merit pin from the Schleswig-Holstein TTVSH table tennis association .

Private

Siebert passed her Abitur in 1963 and then studied in Flensburg. She has been called Margrit Trupkovic since her marriage in 1966. She has two children.
