TT 10 (Paralympics)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

TT 10 (also generic class 10 or class 10 ) is a main class of the Paralympic sports for athletes in table tennis .

The membership of athletes in the starting class is outlined as follows:

  • very mild impairments in the legs, or
  • very mild impairment of the backlash arm, or
  • severe to moderate impairment of the non-play arm.

The class division indicates the degree of functional physical disability of an athlete that is relevant for table tennis competitions . Low class numbers indicate a higher level of impairment than high class numbers. Athletes with class numbers 1–5 start sitting (wheelchair), athletes with class numbers 6–11 standing.
