In the following year, an international ski race for older athletes was held for the first time in the world on the Kellerjoch , Schwaz's local mountain. Since then, this race has been held annually as the "International Kellerjoch Giant Slalom for the Fruntsperg Trophy", for the 50th time in winter 2009/2010. Schwaz is thus the birthplace of international senior racing (today's name: Masters ) in alpine skiing.
