The Kellerjoch is 2344 m above sea level. A. high mountain in the Tux Alps in Tyrol . The much-visited panoramic mountain is the local mountain of Schwaz in the Lower Inn Valley .
The Kellerjoch forms the northernmost outpost of the cross-shaped eastern massif of the Tux Alps, consisting of Rastkogel , Pangert and Gilfert . Topographically, it is a double to triple summit , the ridge of which stretches from the eastern Metzenjoch ( 2313 m ), interspersed with rocks, over the Kreuzjoch (main summit with mountain chapel at 2344 m ) to the Kuhmesser ( 2264 m ). The Kreuzjoch chapel can be reached from the ("new") Kellerjochhütte at 2237 m above sea level on a path that is secured with wire rope in places .
There are several routes for the ascent from the Inn Valley, mainly from Schwaz . For Berggasthof Hecherhaus ( 1887 m ) located on a foothill called Arbeserkogl ( 2,026 m ) is located, leads from Grafenast ( 1,330 m ), an existing three sections chairlift, from where summer is just the last section into operation.
In the past, the Alte Kellerjochhütte , which is around of the way on one of the footpaths from Schwaz, was accessible via a road in summer.
