TVA is a private, French-speaking broadcaster based in Québec , Canada . Regional editions are only available for Québec, although the regional editions of Rivière-du-Loup and Carleton-sur-Mer are also broadcast in New Brunswick with the help of transmitter masts . It has been available on cable television across Canada since 1998 . It is often seen as the French-speaking equivalent of CTV . Although TVA's logo is similar to that of CTV, there has never been or has been any relationship between the two broadcasters. The broadcaster belongs to the Groupe TVA Inc., which in turn belongs to the Quebecor Média Group.
