TVS (Polish Telewizja Silesia , Telewizja Śląska ) is a Polish regional private television broadcaster . TVS is a competing TV station of TVP3 Katowice. Its target group are Upper Silesians and residents of the Silesian Voivodeship .

The focus of the program is news of events in the region. The latest news is shown on a treadmill and the main news program is called "Silesia Flesz". In addition, TVS shows programs about the culture, history, music and tradition of Silesia .

TVS is broadcast digitally and unencrypted via satellite ( Eutelsat Hot Bird 13B on 11.488 GHz, polarization horizontal, SR = 27500, FEC = 5/6) throughout Europe . In HDTV , TVS u. a. broadcast on DVB-T , satellite or digital cable TV .

TVS not only produces television programs, but also three radio programs ( Radio Silesia , Radio Silesia Club and Radio Bercik Silesia ) that can be received via internet stream and radio . The Radio Silesia program is broadcast live on TVS television from the radio studio with a television picture every day from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m.

On Thursday at 6:05 a.m. TVS shows a program in Polish and German with subtitles in the other language, the Schlesien Journal .
