The Table Nunatak (from English table , table, table ' ) is a cuboid island off the Wilkins coast of the Palmerland on the Antarctic Peninsula . It is located in the form of a nunatak 800 m east of Cape Agassiz in the Larsen Ice Shelf .
The first sighting in 1940 probably goes back to scientists of the United States Antarctic Service Expedition (1939-1941). Charles J. Adams (1921–2002), pilot of the United States Army Air Forces on the Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition (1947–1948) also spotted them on an overflight in September 1947. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named them descriptively in 1953.
