Taboiaki is a place in the southern part of the Pacific archipelago of the Gilbert Islands near the equator in the state of Kiribati . The place is on the Atoll Nonouti ; it is the largest settlement with 693 inhabitants in 2015 (2010: 662) and thus 25% of the inhabitants of Nonouti. The largest meeting house ( Maneaba ) in Kiribati is on site. This is also where the first Catholic mission station was founded in the 1880s. Place names on the atoll are: Umanterwena , Temaraira and Tenanoraoi .
