Tacna is a census-designated place in Yuma County in the US state of Arizona . The name Tacna comes from the Indian name for "bright light". 48 km south of Tacna on a desert slope near the Mexican border is a place called Tinaja's Atlas, which means "high reservoir". It is a series of natural basins, one above the other, that hold rainwater. It was a watering place of the early days.
