6.43

Tacquet is an impact crater on the front of the moon in the Mare Serenitatis plain , east of the Menelaus crater and west of Pliny , at the eastern end of the ridge system of the Rimae Menelaus . The crater is bowl-shaped and hardly eroded.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 after the Flemish mathematician André Tacquet .
