Tad Krzanowski
Tadeusz "Tad" M. Krzanowski (born February 15, 1949 in Krosno , Poland ) is a Polish inventor and special effects artist in film. He is best known for his pioneering work in the field of micro-model special effects.
Life
Tadeusz Krzanowski has worked on more than 50 films, including Back to the Future II and Back to the Future III , James Bond 007 - Tomorrow Never Dies and also Godzilla , U-571 , Independence Day , Amistad and the Hunt for Red October ; he was also entrusted with the casting of the animated muppets for the film The Big Muppet Sause . Tadeusz Krzanowski lives and works in Los Angeles .

Awards
- In 1988 he won the Oscar for technical merit . The reason for the award said: "For the development of a wire rig model support mechanism used to control the movements of miniatures in special effects", which he had invented for the Steven Spielberg film Das Wunder in der 8th Straße .
