Tadeusz Michejda

Tadeusz Michejda (born September 26, 1879 in Nawsi , Austria-Hungary , † April 18, 1956 in Warsaw , Poland ) was a Polish doctor and politician.

Life

Tadeusz Michejda was the son of Franciszek Michejda , a Lutheran pastor, his uncle was Jan Michejda . He attended the State Gymnasium in Teschen , graduated from school with a secondary school leaving certificate and studied medicine at the universities in Krakow and Vienna . After completing his doctorate, he worked in Vienna and then became a local doctor in Obersuchau .

After the First World War he became a member of the National Council in the Duchy of Teschen and worked on the preparation of a referendum. The Duchy of Teschen was divided into two parts between Poland and the Czechoslovak Republic . Michejdas first stayed in the Czechoslovak Republic, but then went to Poland, where he worked as a doctor in various places for a long time. He died in Warsaw and was buried in Krakow.

Political career

Tadeusz Michejda was senator of the National Workers' Party Narodowa Partia Robotnicza from 1930 to 1935 . After the Second World War he was a member of parliament from 1947 to 1951 and held the post of health minister during the same period and from 1951 to 1952 a ministerial post without a resort. 1946-1950 he was chairman of the block party conformist Stronnictwo Pracy .

In addition to his political and parliamentary work, he was Vice President of the Red Cross.
