Taeke Wiebe Doekes Taekema (born January 14, 1980 in Leiderdorp , South Holland ) is a Dutch hockey player who won the silver medal with the Dutch national hockey team at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens. Taekema is known for its kick balls at penalty corners . He made his debut in the national team on January 28th, 2000. He currently plays at the Amsterdamsche H&BC in the Hoofdklasse in the Netherlands.

Taekema has already been the top scorer in important field hockey tournaments several times due to his many penalty corner goals. So he was z. B. most successful goalscorer at the 2006 World Field Hockey Championships in Mönchengladbach and at the 2007 Men's Field Hockey Championships in Manchester , where he set a record with 16 goals. He even managed a double hat-trick against Belgium during this tournament.

He was not nominated for the 2012 Olympic Games.

Taeke Taekema was considered the world's best shooter in penalty corners. His Schlenzer reached a speed of more than 120 km / h.
