The Tagish River forms the outlet of Tagish Lake and the headwaters of the Yukon River in the extreme south of Canada's Yukon Territory .
The Tagish River leaves Tagish Lake at its northern end. It flows 7 km north, passes Tagish , takes Tagish Creek from the left and flows into the southern end of Marsh Lake , which is drained by the Yukon River. The Tagish Road ( Yukon Highway 8 ) runs along the west bank of the Tagish River , which then crosses at Tagish.
