The history of Chinese-language film follows three different lines of development: film in China , film in Hong Kong and film in Taiwan. The film in Taiwan forms an independent film culture alongside the film in Hong Kong , which is dominated by entertainment cinema, and film in the People's Republic of China, which is subject to government regulations .
