The Taiyo Nissan KK ( Jap. 大陽日酸株式会社 ~ Kabushiki-gaisha ; Engl. Taiyo Nippon Sanso Corporation ) is a Japanese industrial gases company . In addition, stable isotopes as well as MOCVD and air separation systems are produced.
The company also owns the thermos vacuum jug company and its subsidiaries Matheson Tri-Gas in the US and Leeden National Oxygen in Singapore . As a result of the merger of Linde and Praxair , the European Praxair part required by the European competition authority was taken over and has since been operated under the name Nippon Gases .
In 1910, Nippon Sanso ( 日本 酸 素 , "Japan oxygen") was founded as a limited partnership ( 合資 会 社 , gōshigaisha ; Latin abbreviation GSK). It became a stock corporation in 1918. On October 1, 2004, Nippon Sanso and Taiyō Tōyō Sanso ( 大 陽 東洋 酸 素 ), which had emerged in 1995 from the merger of Taiyō Sanso (founded in 1946) and Tōyō Sanso (founded in 1918), became Taiyō Nissan. In November 2014, the German company alfi was taken over by the American subsidiary Thermos .
50.59% of the shares in Taiyō Nissan are held by Mitsubishi Chemical Holdings .
