The Tawang language Shiri is a mountain in Assam Himalaya on the border between the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh and Tibet Autonomous Region .

The glaciated mountain has a height of 6654  m . It is located on the McMahon Line in the main Himalayan ridge in an area disputed between India and China. The Takpa Shiri is one of the highest mountains in Arunachal Pradesh. The Takpa Shiri is 16.23 km northeast of the 6883  m high Tui Kangri . The southern flank of the Takpa Shiri lies in the catchment area of the Kameng , while the northern flank is drained via the Subansiri .

The Takpa Shiri has not yet been climbed. It is considered to be one of the three most sacred mountains in the Tibetan religion.
