Tactless Festival
The Taktlos Festival is a " festival for contemporary music , jazz , free jazz and improvised music" founded in Zurich in 1984 . The association Fabrikjazz curates the festival from 1984 to 2017. Since 2018 the festival has been organized by the association Taktlos. In the first decades (until 2005) the festival also took place in Basel .
The Taktlos Festival presents a program with soloists and groups from Switzerland, but above all from abroad , over three days in the Zürcher Roten Fabrik (and earlier also in the Gare du Nord (Basel) ). Musicians like Borah Bergman , Evan Parker , Irene Schweizer , Hans Koch , Fred Frith (for example in a duo with Carla Kihlstedt ), Ken Vandermark and Mats Gustafsson , Zeena Parkins / Ikue Mori , Matthew Shipp ( Invisible Touch at Taktlos Zurich , 2017) or die Group AMM performed there.
