Career

Shimohira learned to play football in the youth team of Gamba Osaka . He signed his first contract with Gamba Osaka in 2007. The club played in the highest league in the country, the J1 League . In 2008 he won the AFC Champions League with the club . In 2008 and 2009 he won the Kaiser Cup with the club . In 2010 he was runner-up in the J1 League with the club. For the club he completed 72 top division games. In 2012 he moved to league competitor Omiya Ardija . For the club he completed 64 first division games. In 2014 he moved to league competitor Yokohama F. Marinos . In 2017 he reached the final of the Kaiserpokal. In 2018 he reached the final of the J.League Cup .
