Valley of the Wolves - Gladio (Original title: Kurtlar Vadisi - Gladio ) is an action film by the Turkish director Sadullah Şentürk . It is the third film in the Valley of the Wolves series. The German theatrical release was on November 19, 2009.

Former intelligence officer Iskender Büyük, now retired, is charged with several unresolved incidents in his brutal past; the inexperienced lawyer Ayşe acts as defense attorney. Büyük, disappointed at the disloyalty of his former clients, who are now silent, therefore provides information about what has happened, reveals the entanglements in Turkish politics, the judiciary, officially non-existent Turkish secret services , US influences and terrorism. The (historical) secret organization " Gladio " plays a central role, which stirs up the public and lets past incidents appear in a new light.
Büyük, who is pursuing his own interests in revenge, succeeds in getting the deputy head of the organization out of prison through his statements. Together with him, he uncovered truths that were shocking for Turkey and fought against the backers, which only adds to the conspiracy.
The film works with set pieces of real political and historical backgrounds, which have become known in Turkey as the " Deep State " and which have not yet been fully clarified.

In the film service , Bernd Buder criticized the film, which mixed historical facts about the Italian stay-behind organization Gladio (which was dissolved in 1990) with speculation, mainly because of its very tiring “one-against-all” plot .
