Talia Castellano

Talia Joy Castellano (born August 18, 1999 in Orlando , Florida ; † July 16, 2013 there ) was an American beauty blogger who became famous through make-up videos on YouTube .

Life

Talia Castellano developed cancer at the age of seven. She suffered from neuroblastoma and myelodysplastic syndrome . Several therapies to treat the disease were unsuccessful.

She had more than 800,000 subscribers on her YouTube channel TaliaJoy18 , on which she mainly dealt with the topics of makeup and beauty; her videos had been viewed around 45 million times by the time she died. The created Facebook page "Angels for Talia" has over 650,000 likes today.

In September 2012, Castellano appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show , where she was named Honorary CoverGirl. She posted tutorials on the Internet for the cosmetics company CoverGirl . After that she appeared in several magazines with her slogan “Make-up is my wig”. In May 2013, Castellano and the fashion designer Urbana Chappa decided to create a clothing line called That Bald Chick ( The Bald Girl ).

Castellano died on July 16, 2013 at the Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children in Orlando after being treated there for six months.
