Talkin Wire is a rock band from Hameln that existed from 1985 to 1988 and again from 1989 .
Band history
In December 1985, the school friends Mirko Wiemann, Michael Bock, Uli Namislo and Kai, the band founded Papenfuß in Hameln Talkin Wire (dt .: Speaking wire ). The first appearance took place on December 20, 1985 in the auditorium of the Wilhelm Raabe School in Hameln as part of the school Christmas party. In 1987 Angelika Schwaff joined the keyboards and the guitarist Roger Breitenfeld, which led to various implementations in the band and finally culminated in the dissolution in 1988.
In 1989 the founding members Mirko Wiemann, Michael Bock and Kai Papenfuß decided to re-establish the company. Mirko Wiemann met the guitarist Marc Schwekendiek at school. The then guitarist Michael Bock took over the bass without further ado. This constellation still exists today. The first appearance after the re-establishment took place on October 21, 1989 at the 1st Tündern Rock Night. In 2010 the long-time producer, Jörg Matusczyk, completed the band on the keyboard.
Talkin Wire has gained a loyal fan base in the Weser Uplands in the 30 years of the band's history. Talkin Wire are now headlining music events in the Weser Uplands. In recent years Talkin Wire has also played in the opening act for Pur and Wingenfelder .

Trivia
- Talkin Wire gives a Christmas concert in a church every two years to which the band invites well-known guests and musicians. From 1985 to 2015 the Christmas concert took place in the St. Christophorus Church in Tündern . In 2017 the band broke with this tradition and held the Christmas concert in St. John's Church in Groß Berkel, to which they invited well-known musicians such as Sherman Noir and Mathis Richter-Reichhelm.
