Tama Janowitz
Tama Janowitz (born April 12, 1957 in San Francisco ) is an American writer .
Janowitz attended Barnard College and Columbia University School of the Arts and joined Andy Warhol's circle in New York . In 1986 she published her collection of short stories, Slaves of New York , which gave her her literary breakthrough. Together with Jay McInerney and Bret Easton Ellis, she is part of the so-called literary Brat Pack . She now lives in Brooklyn, New York with her husband and daughter.
