Tamar Zandberg ( Hebrew תמר זנדברג, Born April 29, 1976 in Ramat Gan ) is an Israeli politician of the Meretz party .

Life

Zandberg studied political science and psychology at Ben Gurion University in the Negev . She studied law at Tel Aviv University . Zandberg has been a member of the Knesset since 2013 . At the end of March 2018, she was elected leader of her party Meretz as the successor to Zehava Gal-On . She held the post until the end of June 2019; Nitzan Horowitz was elected her successor.

Zandberg is divorced and has a daughter. Her brother is the Israeli soccer player Michael Zandberg . She lives in Tel-Aviv with her partner Uri Zaki, former director of the non-governmental organization B'Tselem in the United States .
