Le Ciel de Paris is a tower restaurant with panoramic views on the 56th floor of the Tour Montparnasse skyscraper , in the 15th arrondissement of Paris . It was inaugurated in 1973 and redesigned in 2012. With a height of around 200 m, it is the highest restaurant in France .

With a height of approx. 200 m, Ciel de Paris is the highest restaurant in a building in France and one of the highest in Europe. The elevator for the restaurant takes guests to the 56th floor in 38 seconds without stopping.

The restaurant has 145 seats. It offers a view through the floor -to-ceiling windows of, among other things, the Eiffel Tower and the Field of Mars , the Invalides and the high-rise district of La Défense . It is one of the prestige objects of the companies of the Elior Group, the world's third largest group in the food service .

history

The daily newspaper France Soir reported on September 15, 1973 on the situation after the inauguration of the Tour Montparnasse on June 18, 1973. Under performance , she speaks of a restaurant on the top floor with a capacity of 6000 meals a day.

In 2012 the Ciel de Paris was restructured by the designer and interior architect Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance . He designed the restaurant in the style of a theater with armchairs and tables as well as ceiling lights in exclusively round shapes. The equipment is held in a gray and caramel-colored ornament .
