She explains to her best friend Tamaki Yamazaki that she wants to learn a special throwing technique and wrestles a promise from her that, if successful, she will continue to practice this sport with her after their school days together.

In middle school she takes part in the national championships with her school's baseball club, but fails there early. She has mastered her special throw, a curveball , but none of her teammates is able to catch it. When she started her school career at high school, she finished with the sport. By chance she meets Tamaki again, who has attended a school other than Yomi. They throw a couple of balls during the break and decide to revive the baseball club, which is on hold due to a scandal.
