The Tamor (Nepali: तमोर नदी Tamor Nadi ) is a river in the far east of Nepal in the catchment area of the Koshi in the Himalayas .
The Tamor rises in the Janak Himal mountain range and flows into the Koshi at Tribenighat .
The Tamor contributes 19% to the water volume of the Koshi ( Sunkoshi 44% and Arun 37%). Important left tributaries that the Kangchenjunga massif drains to the west are the Ghunsa and the Simbuwakhola .
The Tamor is a destination for rafting and kayaking tourists. The river offers rapids of difficulty IV and V.
