Tanaka Chinyahara (born October 12, 1995 ) is a Zimbabwean football player on the position of midfielder and defender . Since 2015 he has been playing at Hobro IK in the highest Danish football league .

life and career

Tanaka Chinyahara, born on October 12, 1995, began his active football career in his home country, where he was active, among other things, in the youth division for CAPS United and was also used in their junior team under Ramond Mundembe . At the age of 14, Chinyahara came to South Africa , where he was part of the U-17 team of the first division team Kaizer Chiefs from 2009 to 2010 . Chinyahara, who can be used as a midfielder or defender, was also active in the junior team of the Kaizer Chiefs when he was 14. After the club's own academy was dissolved in 2010 and he was temporarily without any prospects, he continued to join the youth department of the Bidvest Wits from Johannesburg . Under the direction of the former Zimbabwean international Charles Yohane , who spent most of his active career in South Africa, he was active in the youth field for around five years, but also played in the junior selection and in the super diski . In December 2014, he was discovered by Danish scouts at the annual Discovery Walter Sisulu Soccer Challenge in Soweto and associated with the Danish club, Hobro IK .

There he signed a one-year contract with the option of a professional contract after the development contract expired after a successful trial training session at the end of July 2015. After he sat unused for the first time on the bench of the Danish first division club on August 3, 2015 and then was not in the official squad for two and a half months, but made two appearances in the Danish Football Cup 2015/16 , he finally made his debut in professional football on October 18, 2015. He came in a 1: 3 away defeat against FC Copenhagen in the 62nd minute of play for Mads Jessen on the lawn. After he sat unused on the bench in the two subsequent league games, he was no longer in the official squad of the professional team after the dismissal of Jonas Dal and the interim coach Lars Justesen under Ove Pedersen . Tanaka Chinyahara only came back to the league on March 19, 2016, when he was substituted on for Jesper Böge in a 2-0 defeat by Odense BK in the 70th minute and then again not part of the professional squad. After only two wins from 26 league games, the Zimbabwean is currently (as of April 28, 2016) with Hobro IK, behind in the last place in the table.

To date (as of April 28, 2016) Chinyahara has not yet been used in the Zimbabwean national football team, although he is hoping to be called up during his time in Denmark.
