reception

  • "The tanzSpeicher is a theater that specializes exclusively in contemporary dance. There are only a handful of such houses in Germany. The fact that such a theater could establish itself in a clearly large city like Würzburg was initially considered by many to be quite a dream dance." ( Süddeutsche Zeitung , February 24, 2012, Olaf Przybilla)
  • "The Würzburger tanzSpeicher has become an important address in Bavaria for contemporary dance - also because choreographer and director Thomas K. Kopp likes to explore the limits of this category." ( Die Deutsche Bühne , 02/16, Michaela Schneider)
  • "In order to lead the audience of his tanzSpeicher to" happiness ", at the beginning of each performance, Kopp clarifies contexts that are not immediately apparent. Despite all artistic encryption, he claims that what happens on stage should be understandable." (Leporello, 03/2010)
  • "Thomas K. Kopp brushes the dance against the grain." (Leporello 10/2012, Pat Christ)
  • "With the perfection of the rehearsals, of the stage design and lighting, the stringent structure, he (Thomas K. Kopp) and his dancers set standards in the independent dance scene in Würzburg." (Mainpost, 07/2013, Ursula Knobloch)
  • "My first dance theater! Most refreshing!" (Guest book of the theater tanzSpeicher June 2016)
  • "Seldom left a performance so relaxed! A pleasure!" (Guest book of the theater tanzSpeicher June 2016)
