Dance! Future needs movement is a German 3D - Documentary of 2012 . The theme is the city of Dortmund from the perspective of ballet dancers .

content

The choreographer and ballet director Wang Xinpeng is commissioned to translate his new home, Dortmund, into a choreography . He tackles the task together with the chief dramaturge Christian Baier and his ballet manager. You will visit the historical sites of the former mining industry, industrial plants and new leisure rooms on former industrial sites. Inspired by these backdrops, they let the dancers translate the movement and energy into dance at these original locations. On the way to the premiere, the viewer also gets to know the life stories and passions of the dancers. Even hip-hop and breakdance come to classical and modern ballet added, because Xin is convinced that these elements into his homage belong to the city.

technology

The film is realized in real 3D. The basis for this were the new integrated 3D camera systems in 2011/12, which make it possible to work in 3D documentary almost like conventional cameras.
