The Taoist Temple in the city of Cebu City on the island of Cebu , Philippines is located in the Beverly Hills district, approx. 300 meters above sea level and can be reached via three access roads.

The Taoist Temple is the religious center of the Chinese religious community of Daoism ( Taoism ) in the Visayas . It was built in 1972 by the Chinese community on Cebu. This makes up about 15% of the total population of Cebu City.

The temple was built in the typical Chinese architectural style, as a pagoda with several buildings, as a temple complex. Daoist ceremonies take place on Wednesdays and Sundays. Daoists can practice Daoist rituals at any time. The temple has a chapel, a library, as well as a souvenir shop and a wishing well .

The outer walls of the temple are decorated with Chinese symbols . The rear entrance to the temple is modeled on the Great Wall of China . The front entrance can be reached via 99 steps. In front of the temple there are several terraces with animal sculptures from Chinese mythology , such as dragons and lions. From the terraces there is a panoramic view of Cebu City, Mandaue City , Mactan Island , across the Strait of Cebu to the islands of Olango and Bohol .

The temple is one of the attractions in the Central Visayas region . Photographing inside the prayer room is not permitted.
