The Taraba is a river in central Africa .

The origin of the Taraba lies west of the Cameroonian city of Kontcha in the Gashaka-Gumti National Park in the province of Taraba . Its catchment area extends to the border with Cameroon . Its main tributary is the Kam, which flows into it from the north.
Hydrometry
The flow rate of the river was measured in Gassol about 30 km before the mouth, i.e. the largest part of the catchment area. The mean runoff was 1791 m³ / s from 1955 to 1986.
