The Tarbuck Crag is a 140 m high ledge with a steep south and east flank on the Ingrid Christensen coast of the East Antarctic Princess Elisabeth Land . It belongs to a group of three rocky outcrops around 1.2 km southwest of Club Lake in the Vestfold Mountains .
Scientists from the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions (ANARE) set up a tellurometer station here in 1969 to measure the Prince Charles Mountains . The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia named the ledge in 1971 after John W. Tarbuck, a cook at Wilkes Station in 1965 and Davis Station in 1969, and a participant in the 1967 ANARE campaign.
