Didier Tarquin (born January 20, 1967 in Toulon ) is a French comic artist and author.

biography

Tarquin lived in Algeria until he was 10 and turned to comics after returning to France. For a short time he considered training in plastic arts , but remained loyal to comics.

His first publication was Les maléfices d'Orient , drawn by him , and released by Soleil Productions in 1990 . Two volumes by Röq were published by the same publisher between 1992 and 1993 .

After these initial works, Tarquins began successful cooperation with Scotch Arleston around the fantasy world Troy . From 1994 the series Lanfeust by Troy was published by Soleil, for which Tarquin drew all eight volumes of the original series until 2000. The four albums in the series Gnome von Troy , a humorous series about the childhood of the Troy characters , were created between 1995 and 2014 .

Didier Tarquin was also responsible for the drawings of Lanfeust der Sterne's eight albums, which appeared between 2001 and 2008 , as well as for the Lanfeust Odyssey series , which has been published since 2009 , of which six volumes had been published by 2014. In addition, he drew several special volumes around the world of Troy.

In addition to his work for the world of Troy, Didier Tarquin was the author of the first three volumes of the seafarers' series Les Ailes du Phaéton , which were published in 1997 and 1998, and of SPEED Angels , two of which were published in 2012 and 2013.
