Taryn Power

Taryn Stephanie Power (born September 13, 1953 in Los Angeles , California - † June 26, 2020 in Wisconsin ) was an American actress .

Live and act

She was the younger daughter of American actor Tyrone Power and his second wife Linda Christian . After their parents' divorce in 1956, she moved frequently with her mother and sister Romina Power , but they lived mostly in Italy and Spain , where the two girls spent most of their childhood. Taryn Power starred in eight films, the first two in Spanish , while the remainder were mostly English-language films. Her best-known roles are that of Valentine De Villefort in The Count of Monte Christo with Richard Chamberlain , Donald Pleasence and Tony Curtis from 1975 and 1977, that of Dione in the film Sindbad and the eye of the tiger alongside Jane Seymour and Patrick Troughton .

In 1975 she met the photographer Norman Seeff in Los Angeles and married him shortly before the birth of their first child in 1980. She separated from him and divorced in 1982. Power had two more children, a son (* 1984) and a daughter (* 1986) from her second husband, Tony Sales , the bassist in the band Checkered Past . In 1993 she married William Greendeer, with whom she also had a daughter in 1996. Taryn Power died of leukemia in June 2020 at the age of 66 .
