Tasha Smith (* 28. February 1971 in Camden ) is an American actress .

Life

Smith grew up in Camden with her single mother. She has a twin sister , Sidra Smith , who worked as a model in Europe . Smith moved to Los Angeles at the age of 18 . She kept herself afloat doing odd jobs with the goal of becoming an actress. At times she worked as a stripper in various night clubs .

From the mid-1990s, Smith starred in various American films , television films, and television series .

She made her film debut in a supporting role in the film Twin Sitter in 1994 . This was followed by other supporting roles in the films Playa's Ball , No half measures 2 - now even more! ( The Whole Ten Yards ), ATL - Lost in Atlanta ( ATL ) and Me, You and the Other ( You, Me and Dupree ).

Smith is best known for her role as Jennifer in the 2007 film Daddy's Little Girls , in which she played a revenge-seeking wife who fights for custody of their three daughters in a legal battle with her ex-husband.

From 1996 to 1997 she played a continuous role in the television series Boston College . From 1997 to 1998 she was in the American comedy series The Tom Show . In 2000 she played the drug addict Veronica 'Ronnie' Boice in the American mini-series The Corner . The series won an Emmy Award . In 2009 she played the role of Rochae Bastillion in the internet television series unReal Housewives of Kansas City .

She also had episode roles and guest appearances on the television series Chicago Hope , The Parkers , Without A Trace , Girlfriends and All of Us .

At America's Next Top Model , Smith worked as an acting coach. She also runs her own theater workshop , Tasha Smith's Acting Workshop , where she gives acting classes to young actors and coaches them individually for roles.

Smith's childhood was dominated by drugs . She smoked marijuana and used cocaine herself . During the time of her drug withdrawal, she turned to Christianity and God.
