Tatiana Mikhailovna Turanskaya
Tatiana Mikhailovna Turanskaja ( Russian Татьяна Михайловна Туранская , Romanian Tatiana Turanskaia , Ukrainian Tetjana Turanska ; born November 20, 1972 in Belgorod-Dnestrovsky , Ukrainian SSR ) is a Transnistrian politician and was not the internationally prime minister of the country from 2013 to 2015.
life and career
Tatiana Turanskaja comes from a Ukrainian family and was born in 1972 in Belgorod-Dnestrovsky , which was then still Soviet , near Odessa . She attended the Odessa National Economic University . From 1999 to 2012 she worked in the higher city administration in Rybnitsa, Transnistria . In 2012, under the new President Yevgeny Shevchuk , she became chairman of the Rîbnița Raion . On July 11, 2013, she became the first woman Prime Minister of her country, succeeding Pyotr Stepanov .
When she was elected to the Supreme Soviet of Transnistria on November 30, 2015, Turanskaya resigned from her post as Prime Minister, and on January 25, 2017, she resigned her parliamentary mandate at her own request. A short time later she left Transnistria and moved to Odessa, Ukraine.
Tatiana Turanskaya is married and has two children.
